ESE Strategy
Objective:
I picked one subject at a time went through the books that I have mentioned and after that I used to solve Last 15 years questions for that subject. And mark those questions which I could not attempt in the first attempt or had to read the solutions to understand them and then I went through these marked questions whenever I revised that subject so that if something similar comes in exam I can tackle it.
Conventional:
Went through all the solved examples and tried to understand them thoroughly and went through last 15 years solutions for conventional papers to understand the nature of questions asked.
I stressed on getting the concepts rather than practicing similar type of questions again and again.
So u hardly solved for conventional rather stressed on going through the solved examples and previous years question papers.
How to allocate time to various sections:
What I used to do was before dinner (9 pm) used to do technical part and after that when I used to feel tired or sleepy..used to pick up general studies for and hour or so.
I followed this regularly.
Last few days before exam:
Stress on notes ( yours or xerox of classes…any would do) and leave the reference books and revise because you tend to forget what you have learnt and try to revise as much as possible in limited time available.
During paper:
Objective (GS and Technical)
Try to solve as many as possible.
I left only those about which I was clueless.
Even if I had some idea of that I would attempt that.
Conventional:
Again attempt as much as possible and attempt the questions keeping the viewpoint of minimum damage ( like in which question you can attempt more marks

Hi.. I generally read an advice by toppers that read reference books but I think those descriptive books material is not useful unless we revise it before the exam. So , I just want to know how to use that reference books in effective manner.
